June 2026 MENA Moves Tracker: NJD Games, YallaPlay, Steer Studios, and Quantum Club among four moves tracked this month
A regular roundup of talent moves shaping the MENA region
Four appointments were tracked across the MENA games industry in June, spanning studio production, marketing, project coordination, and education.
YallaPlay brought on Sena A. as senior marketing artist at its Abu Dhabi studio. She arrives with five years of games marketing experience, with previous roles at TapNation, ZPlay, Imaginate Studios, and Ruby Game Studio. Her work centres on user acquisition creatives, store assets, and animated ad content.
Steer Studios tapped Naser Abdulmohsen AlSudairy as junior project coordinator in Riyadh, converting an internal internship into a full-time role. AlSudairy had served as a marketing project coordinator intern at the studio from September 2025 to February 2026, with prior experience at TREND as a strategic media planning specialist.
From Egypt to Saudi Arabia
Egypt's Quantum Club added Ahmed Najeeb, founder and CEO of 2024 Studios, as game development director and instructor. Najeeb will lead game development and AI courses alongside competitive esports programming, while continuing to run 2024 Studios.
Rounding out the month, Saudi developer Abdullah Bawazeer joined Jeddah-based NJD Games as a full-time game developer. A King AbdulAziz University IT graduate and Tuwaiq Academy bootcamp alumnus, Bawazeer also continues as a part-time assistant trainer at Tuwaiq.
