Qwacks appoints Mahmoud Ziater as commercial lead

Saudi Arabia-based game technology startup Qwacks has appointed Mahmoud Ziater as its new commercial lead as the company looks to expand its client base across the MENA region and international markets.

The company announced the appointment on LinkedIn, describing Ziater as a foundational figure in the regional gaming industry with more than 17 years of experience spanning games, esports, digital media, and technology.

According to Qwacks, Ziater has led partnerships and marketing initiatives with global and regional publishers and studios, including PlayStation, Xbox, Ubisoft, Activision, and Tencent. The company said his experience connecting brands with gaming communities makes him well suited to support its continued growth.

Industry experience

Ziater joins Qwacks after serving as marketing director at Doolab Agency. He also continues to hold a part-time role as growth and partnerships advisor at Rivaln, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Before those positions, he spent more than four years as marketing and sales manager at True Gaming, where he led partnership initiatives across the gaming and esports ecosystem.

Qwacks said Ziater's appointment will help strengthen its efforts to support small and midsize developers by providing the tools and commercial expertise needed to grow their businesses.

Ziater joins Qwacks during a period of expansion for the company, which raised $480,000 earlier last year and has recently announced partnerships with several Saudi studios, including Holodot Studio, Limeless Studio, and Symmetric Studio, as it scales its game technology and services offering.
