A regular roundup of talent moves shaping the MENA region
To keep you up to date with the latest hires, promotions, and exits across the games industry in the Middle East and Africa, IsaKaba tracks talent moves shaping the region each month.
May 2026 saw six moves spread across six organisations, with no single studio dominating the month's activity.
The biggest appointment came from Roblox, which named Mohamed El Sheikh as its first general manager for the Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey. El Sheikh, formerly head of Games Ventures, takes on a role covering regional expansion, developer ecosystem support, and public and private sector engagement.
The Esports Foundation brought in Audrey Cech as director of competitive governance and integrity, based in Riyadh. Cech arrives from Riot Games and carries more than a decade of sports governance experience across UEFA and FIFA.
ESL FACEIT Group added Marion My Anh B. as social media manager for the Esports Nations Cup, with the role drawing on her background at PLAION and Ubisoft.
Promotions round out the month
Savvy Games Group promoted Shoug Ibrahim to accounting manager after nearly three years with the company, stepping up from a senior accountant position.
Ash Games Studio hired Yazeed Alharbi as level designer, expanding its design team with a focus on gameplay levels.
2024 Studios founder and CEO Ahmed Najeeb took on a second role at Egypt's Quantum Club as game development director and instructor, with a stated goal of helping young students ship their first games by the time they reach college.
